Juana Martín’s ‘LA ROSÉE’ Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2024 Collection pays tribute to the Andalusian spring

On January 22, 2024, Spanish designer Juana Martín presented her Spring/Summer 2024 Collection, named ‘LA ROSÉE’, during the prestigious Haute Couture Week in Paris. Martín’s current collection is inspired by her Cordoba background and captures the essence of Andalusian spring. Martín draws inspiration from the Andalusian Spring, which features
morning dew, ethereal light, aromatic blossoms, and beautiful sunsets. This year’s collection corresponds with the centennial anniversary of Julio Romero de Torres’ classic painting, « La
Prima, » which depicts the essence of an Andalusian springtime in Cordoba. Martín’s designs capture the timeless beauty of Andalusia and bring it to the world of haute couture.
Martín honors the region’s renowned wicker artistry, which is strongly rooted in Andalusian tradition. Wicker is featured in a variety of ways throughout the collection, including brocades
embellished with sacred patterns, painstakingly carved jewels reminiscent of religious goldsmithing, and delicate embroidery and crystals evoking the glittering morning dew. Martín’s meticulous attention to detail gives each garment an ethereal aspect, as if caressed by the pure Andalusian light that shines through small alleyways during festival days. Martín’s designs incorporate brilliant hues of Andalusian spring into her characteristic black and white palette. Fluid fabrics, lace, silver, and repurposed materials capture the mood of Holy Week, exuberant markets, and blossoming balconies. The ‘LA ROSÉE’ collection is a symphony of heritage and creativity, flawlessly combining the timeless appeal of Andalusian culture with modern haute couture. Martín’s exquisite craftsmanship and respect for her past are evident in each item, encouraging fashion fans to
experience the eternal beauty of Andalusian spring. Martín’s haute couture designs serve as a reminder of Andalusia’s enduring charm, encouraging the globe to experience the wonder of her springtime. Juana Martín’s ‘LA ROSÉE’ captures the essence of Andalusian spring and honors her roots with timeless grace.
